I'm working on new project. Building a budget energy efficient high powered server. I'll be using an Intel Celeron E1400, with Intel G31 chipset. A Rosewill R604-P SL Case, CORSAIR XMS2 2GB DDR2/800MHZ Dual Channel Ram This will be a major upgrade from an Intel Pentium 2 667MHZ Micron Server, Still kicking. The server will be used for Audio/Video Communications, & Web applications. |

I've been re-designing the site using Fireworks Software for the image layout, and good old fashioned Note Pad for the HTML part. I tempted to use Fireworks or Dreamweaver for the HTML, But I could'nt get it to what I wanted, So I did it Old School. |

Folding Update day 2, I've got the multi GPU working on the 780i.. running 3 instances of folding@home, I'ts just like runing 3 seperate computers.. 2 8800GTS(G92) SSC's, and 1 9800GT SC.. Points are climing fast. I wish I could run this system 24/7 but the heat is outrageous, I have a window A/C running Hard, Along with the central A/C. I have also added 2 large LED fans to move the heat away... |

I wish I had more time to do things like this, Unfortunately I have to work as well.. Here's a pic with the 2 added LED 14cm Fans, as opposed to the standard 120mm I use.. ![]() |

I started folding Protien yesterday on all 5 computers. Unfortionately only 3 are up to the task.. Of course the X58/285, 780i/8800-9800, and the DELL E510/9500GT holds it's own. My tracking image is below. |

What is protein folding and how is folding linked to disease? Proteins are biology's workhorses -- its "nanomachines." Before proteins can carry out these important functions, they assemble themselves, or "fold." The process of protein folding, while critical and fundamental to virtually all of biology, in many ways remains a mystery. Moreover, when proteins do not fold correctly (i.e. "misfold"), there can be serious consequences, including many well known diseases, such as Alzheimer's, Mad Cow (BSE), CJD, ALS, Huntington's, Parkinson's disease, and many Cancers and cancer-related syndromes. Recieved the 3rd X3 1600 watt on Thursday for the i7 rig.. So far it looks like they sent a good revised edition 2008 Model, Has a totally different box. and cables, also had some extras, Thumb screws & Zip ties (Nice). I was able to run it @ 80% full load for 1.5 hours, and did great... I'm going to push it a little a harder this weekend And see how it does.. |

Recieved the replacement X3 1600 watt on friday.. To my suprise it's faulty as well, Also the label says it's an 800 watt... The Box, Papers, Recipt, Etc... says it's a 1600 watt, and it looks like a 1600 watt Maybe it is, but it still does'nt work, RMA this time for a refund.. Looks like I'll be getting a Thermaltake W0133Ru.. |

Completed the i7 rig, However had to RMA the X3 1600 watt, as it was faulty.. I'm using the 780i's X3 1000watt untill the new 1600watt is here.. Afterwards maybe we'll do some overclocking. |
